The Need for Contract Climbing

Contract Climber's, Who needs them...

TREE SERVICES- As a prior owner of a full time tree service, I fully understand the strain on an owner/operator to complete the jobs at hand and keep the work load running smoothly, while at the same time pre-bid, give estimates, and follow up. The problem is that chippers can't chip and grinders can't grind and most importantly ground men can't work without a climber in the tree. If that climber is the owner, CEO, secretary, and job bidder for a company, well something has got to give. This is where contract climbers were helpful to me and will be of tremendous benefit to you.

LANDSCAPERS- I have a few out of state friends that own both maintenance and installation landscape companies. Landscapers are constantly getting asked to remove unwanted or problem trees. We learned quickly that rather than just saying no, why not team up with a climber specialist and joint venture the job? This keeps the landscaping crew busy, while adding value and profit to the landscaping business. It just made good business sense. My question was, why turn this business completely over to another company? Bottom line: Having a contract climber on call completes landscape/tree job, makes everyone more money, and ultimately gives the landscaper a happy, satisfied client and more referrals.

HOMEOWNERS- Ever since I owned my first home I've always been somewhat of a "do it yourselfer." Every home owner knows that sometimes your tools or maybe even your skills are not up to some of the tasks that are required for some of those tough outside jobs. For example, if you had a tree that was tall enough to strike your house and you wanted to cut it up yourself, but you felt a little uneasy about getting that it to the ground safely. Or, suppose there is a large tree that is hanging too close for comfort to the house and you are wise enough not to use a chainsaw while on a ladder. Let's face it, most folks just don't want to mess with the maintenance, sharpening, or danger that comes with operating a saw. When any of these problems sound familiar, then you definitely need a climber specialist for a day.
